“Raised by a carpenter/contractor, building and remodeling was birthed in our blood and genes. Our professional/ adult career began in 1992 under the tutelage of the Chattanooga Tri-State Carpenters and Millwrights Training Center. I completed a four-year Journeyman’s apprenticeship program in all aspects of residential and commercial carpentry/ construction, management and scheduling. While simultaneously working on residential, commercial and industrial construction projects ranging from remodeling a Sears department store to Dam repair on the TVA Ocoee Hydroelectric Facility to retail space build-outs to construction of 15,000 sq ft research facility from the ground up. After my time in the Carpenter’s Union, I worked as a subcontractor in residential construction doing framing, roofing, finish carpentry and deck building for companies like Ryland Homes, Southern Home Builders and John Weiland Homes. Around 2002, we got into the multi-family and investment property space doing turn-key work for apartment complexes and private real estate investors (fix and flips, buy and holds).

NHG, LLC is the culmination of four decades of a well-rounded and multi-faceted career in the construction industry. From laborer for my dad, to superintendent over a $4 million church expansion. From working for and learning from master carpenters to building a business and teaching skills to the next generation.
